The 26th Malaysia Film Festival will be held in Seremban this 1 November 2014.

15 Oct – During the press conference for Festival Filem Malaysia (FFM) 26 at Empire Hotel Subang yesterday, the long awaited date and location for the festival was finally announced.

FFM 26 is now confirmed to be held on 1 November 2014. The Opening Night will take place this coming 26 October, with Empire Hotel Subang chosen as the venue to host the prestigious ceremony.

The actual festival will take place next month at Tunku Puan Chik Auditorium, Tuanku Muhammad Broadcasting Complex, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. This will be the first time the festival is to be held in Seremban.

Mohd Zulkifli Ab. Wahab, Director of Industrial Development of FINAS, stated wanting other states to feel the heat of FFM 26 as reason for not holding it at Putrajaya this year.

Other states that have previously played host to the event include Johor, Melaka, Penang, Perak and Sabah

FFM 26 was originally scheduled to be held back in September but was postponed out of respect for the MH17 tragedy.
