GSC's CEO to receive Exhibitor of the Year award

Ms. Koh Mei Lee is the CEO of Malaysia's largest cinema chain, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC).

21 Sep – Chief Executive Officer of Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), Ms. Koh Mei Lee will be receiving the Exhibitor of the Year award at the Hong Kong exhibition and conference for the cinema industry, CineAsia, on 8 December 2016 at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.

"GSC's innovations in the cinema experience have changed the moviegoing culture in Malaysia and throughout Asia," said Andrew Sunshine, VP of The Film Expo Group, which manages CineAsia.

"They continue to be an industry leader and we congratulate them on this well-deserved honor."

CineAsia is a convention and tradeshow dedicated to the needs of the movie theatre industry, and GSC is recognised for the introduction of many innovations in its facilities including the D-BOX motion seats, Dolby Atmos audio technology, GSC Maxx, GSC MobileApp, and more.

GSC is the largest cinema chain in Malaysia with over 300 screens in 33 locations across the country.

GSC has also partnered with Galaxy Studio in Vietnam, operating screens in seven locations.

The cinema chain is planning to open its first nine-screen cinema in Cambodia in the first half of 2017.

CineAsia is set to take place from 6 to 8 December 2016 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
