Watch this if you liked: "Shutter", "Alone"

Coming soon.. near you. Corny, yet ideal for this horror film! Best believe it as director Sophon Sakdapisit, who also wrote the screenplay for previous Thai horror "Alone" and "Shutter", was inspired by his childhood imagination. Children generally pick up on anything they see or hear and put it to their imagination - their own world really.

It carries the simple idea of, what would happen to you after watching a horror movie. As the story goes, what you watch may very well be what you will experience in reality. If you believe what happens in the movie, stays in the movie, then this film is here to prove otherwise. Shane and Yod are two buddies who work together to make a pirated copy of the soon to be released, "Revengeful Spirits". Evidently, both of them experience mysterious hauntings and same goes to everyone else who watches it.

The star attraction here is the vengeful spirit Chaba, previously an insane lady who abducts children to gouge their eyes out. Furious villagers then hung her using a rope around her mouth. Her appearance comes across as similar to the infamous 'slit-mouthed woman'. The graphics is not too shabby, well done and she often appears when you least expect her to. So expect the unexpected while you're sitting comfortably in your chair. Scare factor can run pretty high for this film as it approaches to the end of the story. But gratefully enough, some humour is injected to lighten up certain intense scenes.

Cinematography wise can be pretty brutal as it closes in on Chaba's decayed face a couple of times, even focusing on her for what felt like an eternity. But in a way, it adds to the horror element as her image is embedded into your mind. The storyline is commendable as it adds an attention-grabbing twist, unlike most Thai horrors that has a confusing twist, this turn of events was exciting and you needn't crack your head to piece the signs together.

The ending had this reviewer go 'what the f***', but in a good way. So, enjoy!
