Pascaline, who is in her 40s, runs a brasserie and is currently preparing an elegant dining room for Valentine`s Day. Her lover of 20 years ago suddenly appears and asks her to go to Rio with him. Meanwhile, Pascaline`s customers also have their own set of problems that they have to cope with. Bored housewife Rose informs her husband that she is having an affair; Mia wants to commit suicide until she is wooed by waiter Lesley; and an inconspicuous civil servant Walter suffers silently when he is seated in front of the woman of his dreams.
