The Good, the Bad and the Golden Intern:
Nancy Meyers' latest directed film truly resonates with many young adults of the present generation as it portrays the reality of the contemporary world where young people have begun to take the lead in many working fields.
The film follows an old veteran worker who is recently retired, but because he is not used to his boring retired life, he decides to get back into the working world by becoming a senior intern at an online fashion site run by young female boss.
The film is a clear proof that you are never too old to learn and like its tagline - experience certainly doesn't get old.
The film also illustrates the differences between the working ethics, practices, thinking and lifestyles of today's generation and those from the Baby Boomers' generation.
De Niro plays a sweet and warm grandfather-like figure who always provides useful advice and valuable life-lessons to the young lady boss played by Hathaway, and these lessons should be taken note by many tech-savvy youngsters nowadays.
Wonderful performances from the two leads; De Niro and Hathaway perfectly demonstrate how the two different generations behave, and also kudos to the supporting cast who are all humorous and entertaining in their very own way as each of them deliver their parts well.
The film is truly a simple and warm-hearted family comedy perfect for the folks from the Baby Boomers generation all the way to those from Generation Z.
