The Mohican Comes Home (JFF)
Several years ago, Eikichi left his hometown in Hiroshima for Tokyo. He tried to find success with his rock band but failed. Now, Eikichi returns to his hometown to tell his old-school father, Osamu, that his girlfriend Yuka is pregnant. Though Osamu is initially hostile towards the news, he is also excited to have a grandchild. So, he hosts a party and calls the entire town over to celebrate his grandchild, but during the party, Osamu collapses and is sent to the hospital. When Eikichi discovers that his father has developed terminal cancer, he tries to stop being a disappointment and does his best to make his bedridden father happy, with hilarious results.
