24 Jul - Following the huge success of "Cicak-Man" and "Duyung", KRU's "Jin Notti" wrapped up filming recently after a month of shooting. The filming was done from 11 June to 12 July in several places around Selangor including Palace of Justice, Putrajaya, Ulu Yam, The Ship Bukit Bintang and Desa Waterpark.

Interestingly enough, "Jin Notti" sees a career first for a few people - debuting director Azhari Mohd Zain, popular singer Mawi and HOT FM announcer Fara Fauzana. Azhari, also known as Zack, is enjoying his first shot at the director's seat, after having written "Duyung" and several other movies under Razak Mohaideen's banner. Meanwhile Mawi, popularly known as the King of SMS, plays the role of Abdul Aziz or Ajiz, the undercover cop. He considers the opportunity to act in "Jin Notti" as his actual debut film, since the filming of "Aduhai Saliha" had been suspended due to an apparent funding crisis. Fara Fauzana, famous for her voice as the announcer on Hot FM, takes up the challenge of playing six roles in the movie - Notti (the genie's daughter), Ruby (a punk girl), Eyvonne (a gangster), Sharifah Qistina (an advocate), Din (a young boy) and Mimi (Ajiz's lover).

Apart from the lead players Mawi and Fara Fauzana, this romantic comedy also stars composer/singer/actor Cat Farish who plays the role of Jinbara (the bad genie), not to mention director Aziz M. Osman, singer Adibah Noor, experienced comedians Accapan and Bob Lokman, TV host/actress Sazzy Falak and millionaire producer David Teo.
