22 Dec –Prolific producer Metrowealth International Group (MIG) outdid themselves when "Ngangkung" topped RM 8 million and broke the "Adnan Sempit" all-time highest grossing Malaysian movie record which previously stood at RM 7.8 million. This is the first time a Malaysian made movie has crossed the RM 8 million mark. The success was even sweeter considering it was reportedly done in four weeks instead of the six needed by its predecessor. Both movies star Shaheizy Sam in the lead, an upcoming actor whose popularity is sky-rocketing, especially after winning Best Supporting Male Actor at the Malaysian Film Festival Awards, in 2009 for "Bohsia: Jangan Pilih Jalan Hitam" and in 2010 for "Evolusi KL Drift 2". Metrowealth's upcoming movies include "Kembar Siang", "Kongsi", "3 2 1 Cinta", "Sekali Lagi", "Senario Ops Pocot" and "Keramat".
