Cinema Online winners posing with their "Man Of Steel" tickets!

18 Jun – Last week was the opening week of the highly anticipated "Man Of Steel", and 50 lucky winners were selected by Cinema Online to attend the premiere screening of the superhero blockbuster film in IMAX 3D at TGV 1 Utama!

Directed by Zack Snyder ("Watchmen", "300", "Sucker Punch"), the Superman reboot features Henry Cavill in the lead role as Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman. When planet Krypton faces imminent destruction due to its unstable core and the threat of rebel General Zod (Michael Shannon) and his followers, Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and his wife Lara (Ayelet Zurer) has no choice but to send their only son, Kal-El, to Earth to ensure his safety. Adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent (Kevin Costner and Diane Lane), Kal-El grows up as Clark Kent, but is outcast for his mysterious powers. When General Zod resurfaces on Earth, Clark Kent is forced to embrace his powers and stand up for the human race, or witness their destruction.

So far, critics' reviews of the film have not been overwhelmingly positive, so we turn to our winners to get a more local flavour of opinions! Read on to find out what they think of "Man Of Steel":

Wan Natasha: I rate the movie 5/5. I liked it because Superman is my favourite superhero of all-time, so I'm a little biased. As for Henry Cavill playing Superman, at first I thought he was a bad choice, but after watching the movie, I'm convinced that he was well-casted.

Khathekeyan Nudusan: I rate the movie 5/5. I liked it because the storyline, the action and the music is very well-done. Watching it in IMAX 3D was just icing on the cake. As for Henry Cavill playing Superman, I thought he was very suitable for the role because he is a new face, so watching him was refreshing.
