Alone at the movies this Halloween? Here are some friends to keep you company.

Halloween is almost here and many of the cinemas in the South East Asia region have taken up the challenge of pairing this month's onslaught of horror movies with cinema promotions, marathons and parties of their own. If you're in the mood to get spooked, or be spooked, all in the spirit of Halloween fun, here's a handy list of cinemas that are participating in this month of horror!

Malaysia

Golden Screen Cinemas

Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) is currently running its Fear Fest roadshow at several of its cinemas that will be running up to 26 October 2013. Participants who want to join in the activities planned at their cinemas can win electronics like mobile phones and printers worth up to RM1,899. Those at the location of the Fear Fest who snap a photo and Instagram it with the hashtag #GSCFearFest will also instantly win free movie passes.

TGV Cinemas


If you're lucky, you might even catch Annabelle walking around!

TGV Cinemas brings back its TGV Halls of Horror again this year as part of their TGV Scare Fest event. Moviegoers can catch any 4 horror movies shown at selected TGV cinema location for RM 40. That's about RM24 in savings for a bulk of 4 movie tickets!

MBO Cinemas

For MBO Cinemas, the chain is bringing the 'horror' to its latest concession offering. For RM15 moviegoers can purchase their Halloween Combo to go along with their movie that comes with a cool Skull Double Wall Cup, a medium sized drink, a large popcorn. Just beware of Taring the Vampire Kid, we heard he may just suck... all of your drinks!

Singapore

Golden Village Cinemas

Golden Village is reuniting horror movie buffs with a marathon of horror movies which their aptly calling the 'Horrorthon'. Catch three horror films for SGD42 (SGD38 for members) which will include free flow of popcorn and drinks. The three movies are; "The Babadook", "Ouija" and "Fatal Frame". The 'Horrorthon' will only be held on two days; Friday, 24 October at GV Katong and GV Yishun and on Friday, 31 October at GV Plaza and GV Jurong Point.

Platinum Cineplex

Platinum Cineplex is getting its fans to post up scary photos of themselves and a Zenya brand beverage for a chance to attend their Halloween party at Platinum Cineplex on 31 October 2014 where a Halloween makeover (face painting) awaits as well as a screening of the movie "Ouija".
