Great movies that will take you outdoors (without leaving the house)

Being cooped up indoors 24/7 is not fun, we get that. Even homebodies need some greenery and sunshine from time to time and for outdoorsy people, this might as well be a court-ordered house arrest. But that's what movies are great for – escapism! In times like this, let's turn to movies that will take us to the great outdoors, without having to step out of the house. Stay home and stay safe, everyone, and enjoy these movies!

Since beaches are among the more popular travel destinations in Southeast Asia,
Leonardo DiCaprio's "The Beach" (2000) is an apt entry for this list. Based on
Alex Garland's 1996 novel, the movie is filmed at Thailand's Ko Phi Phi Le island.

In rom-com "Under the Tuscan Sun" (2003), Diane Lane plays a woman who settles into
life in Tuscany after buying a villa there during her vacation. Since current condition
doesn't permit travel to Italy (or anywhere), this movie is good enough
for enjoying the Italian region's natural beauty.

For those who want to sing along to ABBA hits while watching a movie, "Mamma Mia" (2008)
is the perfect choice. Enjoy the beautiful Greek islands this rom-com is filmed at, as we watch a
young woman (Amanda Seyfried) try to find out which of her mother's (Meryl Streep)
old flames is her father.
