A very optimistic Mr. Surian from the crowd said, "I am expecting the story to be very normal but the acting, locations, stunts and music to be extraordinary with the new technology." When asked to comment on Superstar Rajini's acting, he smiled and stated, "His acting will be great as usual but it is his dressing and style that will grab my attention as he does not portray the figure of a 57 year old man! I know that I will not be disappointed."

Also present was host of NTV7 television show, 'Baba's and You', M.K, who said, "I've been looking forward to this film since the Tamil New Year. It is the first time that acclaimed director S. Shankar and Superstar Rajini have come together and even the trailer was amazing!"

The film went on for a solid three hours and fifteen minutes with the crowd encouragingly cheering at the opening scene of Superstar. A very cheerful movie-goer, Surin, commented after the movie, "I thought the movie was good although I did not really enjoy the fighting scenes. The songs were pictured beautifully as the locations were mind blowing and the heroine's outfits were awesome. They really optimised colours in this film and although the movie was a tad bit long, Rajinikanth hasn't changed his style, his tag line now being 'cool'!"
