2 Sept – Big Cinemas Lotus Five Star recently launched their 'Print@Home' facility, a feature that enables moviegoers to print their own movie tickets at home, without having to queue up in cinemas. By following a few simple steps to purchase tickets at the chain's website, actual physical tickets are printed out at home without going through the long queues in cinemas. A press statement elaborated: "Buying movie tickets can be a huge hassle when the weekend is here, and with the festive season around the corner, everyone wants to kick back and relax by watching their favourite blockbuster movies. Plenty of people have been lamenting about how long the queues are, as well as the terrible hassle of going to shopping malls just for a movie."
According to Mr. Preetham Rebello, COO of Big Cinemas Lotus Five Star, "We believe that for the audience, the movie watching experience does not begin when the movie begins, but when they enter the cinema to buy their tickets. It is this experience that we would like to make as simple, smooth and memorable as possible. The "Print@Home" ticket facility is a step in that direction and we are confident that it will be received positively." Compared to other cinema outlets where confirmation or booking numbers are required to redeem actual movie tickets at the box office counter, audiences can now walk straight to the cinema hall entrance with the 'Print@Home' ticket. The ticket will then be verified by a barcode scanner before entering the respective cinema hall. Besides 'Print@Home' facility, Big Cinemas Lotus Five Star has also introduced 'BigCinemasMobile' application for moviegoers on the go. 'BigCinemasMobile' offers show listings and ticket reservations at the convenience of their fingertips.
