13 June – In anticipation over the release of the upcoming live-action; "Chipmunks" sequel, those who make their way down to the Movie Carnival 2011 at IPC Shopping Centre (formerly known as Ikano Power Centre), will get the chance to get up-close with the mischievous rodents.
As fans get to meet the live-sized costumed chipmunks; Alvin, Simon and Theodore, they will also get the chance to take pictures with the friendly characters for free. Apart from that, there will also be an exciting colouring contest for kids who will get to showcase their artistic side as they vie for the top prize. To participate in the 'Alvin and the Chipmunks Colouring Contest', this Sunday 19 June at 3.30pm, all one has to do is to make their way to the Cinema Online booth to register their details. The best artwork will be decided by a panel of judges and will stand a chance to win great prizes as well as exclusive movie merchandise. The upcoming "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked", will follow Alvin, Simon and Theodore as they get shipwrecked on deserted island, but they find themselves in for a surprise when they embark on an island adventure with their new friend, a castaway who's more than a match for any of them. The movie is expected to release this 15 December 2011 at Malaysian cinemas nationwide.
