18 Nov – In conjunction with the 24th Filem Festival Malaysia happening this Sunday, 20 November 2011, movie tickets are being given out for free by TGV cinemas from now until 19 November.
According to TGV's Facebook page, the free tickets for "Kongsi" and "Raya Tak Jadi" are available on a first come first serve basis at the box office counters of TGV KLCC, TGV Seremban 2 and TGV 1st Avenue. The 24th edition of FFM will see 32 categories up for the prestigious awards ceremony that will take place this Sunday, 20 November at The Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). Among the competing local films this year are "Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa", "Sekali Lagi", "Cun", "Hantu Bonceng", "Sedetik Lebih" and "Libas". Apart from that, TGV is also giving out 8000 free tickets to celebrate the opening of their latest Cineplex, TGV 1Shamelin, for movies such as "X-Men: First Class", "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes", "KL Gangster", "Nasi Lemak 2.0" and many more. In other related free movie ticket news, GSC also announced that it will be giving out free movie tickets to watch "Oliver Twist" and "Great Expectations" during the European Union Film Festival happening at GSC 1 Utama, GSC Mid Valley and GSC Gurney Plaza, Penang until the 28 of November.
