1 March – "I love the adrenaline rush when I'm driving my car in fast speed," shares one of the only two ladies who had joined the recent "Drive Angry" one-day Kuala Lumpur to Penang convoy, as part of a promo collaboration between local distributor Nusantara Edaran Filem and Cinema Online that kicked off on Saturday, 26 February 2011.
The 24 year-old Junee who drives a Ferrari F 130 shared her love for supercars, "I love fast cars and the thrill while driving it. This is a nice car to handle, very comfortable and one of my favourites. Usually I don't drive for a long distance journey, but I don't mind making an exception especially for this car."
As for Dato' Wenddi-Anne Chong who joined Porsche's Club Malaysia May last year divulges that she learns a lot more when she started to involve with the convoy road trip.
"It is very exciting and it enables you to discover things you don't know about yourself. When you're in a convoy, you tend to push yourself to excel and keep up with the others. Besides that, we also need to know how far our car can go. The fastest speed I had hit was 260km/h and I never thought I will be able to do that!"
"However safety is very important despite the excitement of driving the car in fast speed because accident could happen anytime, anywhere," added Wenddi.
Fifteen luxurious cars consist of Ferraris and Porsches joined the "Drive Angry" convoy from Kuala Lumpur to 1st Avenue Mall, Penang that kicked off in the morning and reach their destination at 2pm.
The crowd took up the chances to win "Drive Angry" merchandises through various activities such as freebie giveaways during the Movie Patrol session as well as photo opportunities with the supercars involved with the convoy.
There was also a special screening of the "Drive Angry" movie starring Nicolas Cage at the recently-opened TGV 1st Avenue as the closing of the event.
"Drive Angry" stars Nicolas Cage as Milton, a hardened felon who has broken out for one last chance at redemption and therefore hell-bent on stopping a vicious cult of fanatics who murdered his daughter – but he has three days to stop them before they sacrifice his infant granddaughter beneath a full moon.
"Drive Angry" will be showing at cinemas in Malaysia on 25 February and in Singapore on 17 March 2011.
