28 Feb – A new Malaysian horror movie directed by James Lee sees Lufya Omar playing the role as Jiji in "Sunti @ Facebook" has. The actress revealed that she improvised her role without a script. Said Lufya one of her biggest challenge filming the movie was that there were no scripts given to Lufya or the other cast. They were only given the treatment of the movie to roughly know about their scenes. "One of the biggest challenge filming this movie is that there were no scripts given and were only able to rely on a short description to roughly let us understand our scenes." "Therefore, we had to discuss about the dialogues together for every scene, she added."
Lufya also shared about her decision about her fully donning the hijab for her 30th birthday last February 2. She had planned to wear the hijab since a year ago, but was afraid of it affecting her career. "I cried while thinking about it, because I was not ready to make my own decision for the hijab". After some advice from her mother, she finally had the courage to make her decision during her birthday. However, she is now more selective in accepting filming offers and would only accept those that will help her maintain her image wearing the hijab. "Sunti @ Facebook" starring Lufya Omar, Izzue Islam, Fouziah Gous and Syazwan Zulkifli is now showing in cinemas.
