19 May – With cinemas staying closed for now, online streaming of movies is gaining more popularity among film lovers. Knowing this, Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur (AFKL) is hosting its inaugural livestream event this evening which will include two short films. The livestream event will be held on AFKL's Facebook from 8pm to 10pm tonight.
"Chasse Royale" follows 13-year-old Angélique, who is offered the chance to audition for a movie. She is reluctant to go but this also might be her chance to escape her life. Meanwhile, ""Lagi Senang Jaga Sekandang Lembu" tells the story of two teenage outcasts who form an uncanny friendship in their village. When one of them discovers the other's dark secrets, she observes the changes in her new friend to the point of violence, monstrosity, and affection. "Lagi Senang Jaga Sekandang Lembu" is also available for streaming on Vimeo for five days only starting from today.
