5 May – Even though Johan As'ari has worked in many action films, the actor admits that he has never fought with a female actor before working in the film, "VII XII" ("Tujuh Dua Belas"). You could say that it was his fight debut with a woman when director Thorpe Ali entrusted him to collaborate on the fight scenes with action star Farali Khan in the film.
Johan shares that he is pleased to have worked with Farali and he admires her professionalism and dedication to her work on set. "The main challenge in acting out the fight scenes is safety. I have to make sure that my co-star, Farali, who has more fight scenes, doesn't get hurt. If I hurt her or anyone of us gets hurt, this will interfere with the filming processes. As we trust each other, the challenge becomes not too difficult," Johan explained. In addition to Johan and Farali, thes RM1.2 million budget film also stars Adam Darwisyh, Idzham Ismail and Indonesian martial arts YouTube star, Chintya Candranaya and Master Agus Setiawan Jaya. Opening on 4 May, "VII XII" is currently screening in cinemas nationwide.
