11 Oct - It was revealed that Henry Cavill is set to star in the upcoming film adaptation of the beloved '80s animated series, "Voltron".

The "Man of Steel" star was announced as part of the Amazon MGM Studios' film following the casting news of newcomer of Daniel Quinn Toye in the lead role.

Not much has been revealed in the way of the plot, which will be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber from his own script co-written by Ellen Shanman.

Cavill starred in two movies this year, "Argylle" and "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare", and made a cameo in the "Deadpool & Wolverine" movie as 'Cavillrine'.

His next film to come out in 2025 is "In the Grey", another flick of his helmed by Guy Ritchie.

"Voltron" is an American 1980s animated series which was adapted from the Japanese series, "Beast King GoLion" as well as "Armored Fleet Dairugger XV".
