"Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" sets 2027 release date

3 Apr- It was revealed that the third "Spider-Man" animated feature, "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" will be released in June. Not this June, but 4 June 2027, four years after the release of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse".

It is noted that the film was originally scheduled for 29 March 2024, not even a year after the second film was released.

The team recently showed the first footage from the new film, which has the main character Miles Morales saying, "Everyone keeps telling me how my story is supposed to go. I'm gonna do my own thing."

Justin K. Thompson will return to co-direct the film, this time alongside Bob Persichetti.

"Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" will be released in 2027

"We know how important this franchise is to so many people around us. We just could not run it back," said producer Phil Lord and co-directors Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson. "So, we decided we needed to take the time to make sure we got it just right."

The first film "Into the Spider-Verse", released in 2018, was a big hit and even won the Oscars for Best Animated Feature. Its second film made more than USD 682 million globally when it was released in 2023.
