7 Apr - Legendary actress Datin Noor Azizah has recently passed away.

The news was confirmed by her sister Puteh Zabidah, saying that Azizah experienced breathing difficulties prior to her passing.

"My sister has been undergoing dialysis treatment since last year and her health condition is still fine. But she had breathing difficulties in the morning. We called the ambulance and the medical team tried to help, but God loves her more," she said.

It was revealed that the KL-based Azizah, who had been diagnosed with kidney disease, was in Ipoh, Perak to celebrate Eid with her family.

The actress, who made her debut through 1965's "Dayang Senandong", had starred in various films throughout her career, and worked in several films with the legendary P. Ramlee in films like "6 Jahanam", "Dr. Rushdi" and "Jangan Tinggal Daku".

She was also paired up with Ed Osmera and Ahmad Mahmud in various films including "Durjana" and "Kembang Layu".

Her last film was the Afdlin Shauki and Erra Fazira rom-com, "Soal Hati", released in 2000.
