12 Feb - It was reported that Shruti Haasan will play the leading lady to Vijay for his final film, "Jana Nayagan".

Sources claimed that the actress, who is the daughter of actor Kamal Haasan, has already signed on to do the movie and will begin shooting next week.

It is noted that Shruti and Vijay last worked together in the 2015 fantasy adventure film, "Puli".

"Jana Nayagan" was announced as the title of Vijay's final project back about a fortnight ago, with the first-look poster released by KVN Productions.

Previously referred as "Thalapathy 69", it will be the ultimate final film for Vijay, who is retiring from showbiz to focus on his political career.
