CO Movie Day: "Sadako 2"

16 Oct – Last week, Cinema Online fans were given the opportunity to watch the anticipated horror sequel "Sadako 2", starring Miori Takimoto, Koji Seto and child actress Kokoro Hirasawa.

Based on a novel by Koji Suzuki, the Japanese horror film tells the story of Fuko Ando (played by Miori Takimoto) who is a 24-year-old graduate student in psychology. She is tasked to take care of her 4-year-old niece. Soon, mysterious events occur around her niece. She then learns of an incident involving a cursed video that took place 5 years earlier. Fuko Ando then finds herself involved with the cursed video.

The film is a continuation of the first "Sadako" film, about a high school teacher who hears a rumour from her students that there is actual footage on the Internet of someone's suicide. The footage is said to drive anyone who sees it to also commit suicide. Akane then has to fight against Sadako to save her and the ones she loves.

We ask one of the many Cinema Online winners and found out what he thought of the scary feature and here is what he said:

Johnny Lin: I rate the movie 2/5 stars. Maybe it's because I hadn't watched the first film but the storyline confused me a bit. It did have some scary moments but the plotline was predictable.

Is the film worth watching? Decide for yourself as "Sadako 2"is currently showing in cinemas!
