11 May – We have found our best top SPY recruits at the SPY Training Boot Camp which was held at the Jump Street KL Trampoline Park last Sunday. The event was part of a "SPY" contest organized by Cinema Online in collaboration with Twentieth Century Fox Malaysia, IM4U and also Jump Street KL and saw 108 recruits battling it out to be the ultimate top Spy recruits.
The SPY Training Boot Camp saw shortlisted contestants from Cinema Online's contest compete against each other via several 'world class elite spy' themed challenges where the recruits also got to win limited "SPY" movie premiums! The premiums include; flashlight keychain, tote bag, notebook, male and female t-shirt, wig, lipstick USB and light-up powerbank.
There were total of three sessions and each session consisted of three unique challenges which included activities like dodgeball, basketball slam dunk and the foam pit where three overall top "SPY" recruits were discovered.
The dodgeball challenge called 'Shooting Range', tested the participants' agility as a spy, by dodging the balls thrown by the referee. The basketball slam dunk challenge, "Sharp Shooter" aimed to test the participant's accuracy skills, while the foam pit challenge, "Foam Pit Mayhem" tested the participants' team work ability, their alertness and also awareness. Jump Street Sales Director Azlan A. Aziz commented, "On behalf of Jump Street, I think this is a fantastic way of hitting out target market which is the youth. We really welcome such collaboration and we are looking forward to more of it in the future."
Hemalata H.P Daniel, Senior Executive Brand Management of IM4U said; "When we were approached regarding this idea, we proposed that we can bring in some volunteers to help out and we also said that we can liaise with some of the orphan homes so that the orphans can take part in the activity as well."
One of the top "Spy" recruits who gained a high score through the three challenges was, Muhammad Hatta bin Yusoff, whom expressed his delight acing the challenges, "I felt great. It was fun. Technically, it's not really about winning actually what's important is that I really enjoyed myself today!"
After the event, all the recruits were invited to attend a special screening of "SPY" at TGV Cinemas, Jaya Shopping Mall. "We hope from the early screenings - and this is one of the very first in the world - it will generate positive word of mouth among all the early screeners. We also hope that everyone had fun during this course of event!" said Clariss Ooi, Senior Marketing Executive of Twentieth Century Fox.
