Walt Disney Pictures presents "The Princess And The Frog," a classic tale that marks Disney's triumph return to traditional, hand-drawn animation which hasn't been seen for a long time since 2004, when it released "Home On The Range". Significantly enough, it also features Disney's first African-American princess! The animators decided to keep the fairytale fresh by including a twist into the story, originally written by the Brothers Grimm. Set in the city of New Orleans, the movie stars "Dreamgirls" actress Anika Noni Rose as the voice of Princess Tiana, a Bayou-bred girl who stumbles upon a prince transformed into a frog by an evil witch doctor. Gregarious Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos) convinces Tiana to gift him with a kiss to transform him back to his royal splendor, but instead, the smooch turns Tiana into a fellow emerald amphibian. Other voice stars include Terrence Howard, John Goodman and Oprah Winfrey as Tiana's mother. Below are four exclusive videos by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures explaining the House of Mouse's long-time Disney legacy and the behind-the-scenes production of "The Princess And The Frog". Also don't forget to catch the official movie trailer at the end!
"The Princess And The Frog" will play in cinemas beginning 11 December 2009!
