Try to keep your mouths closed while watching "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2".

Flint and his crew embarking on their next food filled adventure to stop the Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator (FLDSMDFR, for short) that has created an entirely enticing ecology, so we've prepared a guide in recognising some of the 'foodimals' (that's food plus animals), that you would be seeing in "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2".

As a disclaimer, no foodimals were hurt in the making of this article.

Mosquitoast

If you are going into the wild food jungle at Shallow Falls, bloodsucking pests would be the least of their worries. That is unless you are made of butter. With a pair of toasts for wings, the Mosquitoasts are the delicious variety of the mosquito that fatten you up instead of sucking you dry. The Mosquitoasts fly around in search of Buttertoads so that they can suck the butter out of them to keep their flying toasts oiled and fattening. If only we could say the same for these annoying pests in real life.

Watermelophant

Watermelophants are giant juicy watermelons with a long trunk and two flappy leaves for ears to resemble elephants. Instead of having tusks to charge at anyone dangerous, you should be prepared to take cover when these Watermelophants start peppering seeds at you!

Hippotatomus

Potato lovers would be hard pressed not to want to take a chunk out of the large potatoes standing on four stubby legs known as the Hippotatomus. With a tongue made out of butter and a dash of chives for teeth, it makes it even harder to resist diving into their maws headfirst with a spoon. Luckily this harmless foodimal is quite friendly, unlike its real life counterparts that have killed more people than lions

Cheespider

We are not lovin' anyone who turns the most 'wholesome' of fast food into one of our worst nightmares, because no one wants to be chased by these Cheespiders that run on eight flimsy french fries. With its devious amounts of eyes scattered as sesame seeds on its bun making sure that its next prey is never far from sight, the last thing we want these creepy buggers to do is to learn how to swim across water and smother the world with sticky lettuce, mustard and ketchup.

Barry (the Strawberry)

While there's nothing special to the name of Barry the Strawberry, we're sure this sweet nugget is able to win your mellow hearts with its inexplicable cuteness. With its indecipherable baby voice by Cody Cameron, and running at high speeds on its little leafy legs, it's hard not to be charmed by its large green eyes in the end. Just don't scare the jelly out of it.

Shrimpanzee

Put three pieces of shrimp together and you get a Shrimpanzee that is as cheeky and naughty as their furrier counterparts. These Shrimpanzees are going to make you work for your food as you will need to chase after them as they swing from vine to vine with their tail fin hands and feet. So your best bet is to probably drop them into the water because these Shrimpanzees can't swim, for some reason.

Tacodile

What's a deadly dangerous adventure without having a devouring predator or two on your tail? While it is named after the lazy crocodile, the Tacodile is anything but a foody's reimagination of the reptile and it prefers to spend most of its time rolling in the sandy banks of the syrup swamp. Made out of two folded pieces of taco; one for its body that walks on huge chilies, another for its hungry horizontal jaws, the Tacodile is made out the plethora of veggies, meat and sauce, and bad things always come in big sizes like in the first "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs", so watch out the next time you order something in super size!

Of course that's not all of the foodimals that would be in the film. We've left out some lesser known ones like the wild Scallions, the Apple Pie-thon, the Wildabeet, and the Flamango. There is an estimated total of 30 foodimals that were made in "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2", so see if you can spot them and let the film inspire an idea on what to eat after the show.
