Some more of the performers on the "Together We Can" entertainment charity campaign. |
Several local artistes have banded together to provide entertainment to the #StayAtHome masses, while raising donations to individuals and families who are hard-hit by the Movement Control Order (MCO).
These celebs do so by doing live performances and interviews on the "Together We Can", #TogetherForHumanity, entertainment charity campaign – a joint effort by theSundaily, live online radio station AFO Radio, Malaysian movie information portal Cinema Online, Malaysian Outdoor Advertising company Spectrum Outdoor Marketing Sdn. Bhd. and The Giving Bank Organisation.
Let's continue getting to know a bit more about these charitable celebrities!
Aizat Amdan
Muhammad Aizat bin Amdan was one of the contestants in the fifth season of "Akademi Fantasia". He's been in the local music industry since 2007 and has even made a special appearance in the 2012 movie "Istanbul Aku Datang!".
Layla Sania
Born to a musician father, the teen singer was the champion of 2018's "MBP Singing Competition" and successfully made her debut last year with "Que Sera Sera". Having studied in a Chinese school, Layla Sania can both sing and write lyrics in Mandarin.
Monoriff
Niralji Ravishanker and Rakesh Joshua Daniel founded the alternative electropop band Monoriff back during their university days. Originally a five-piece band, they returned to the music scene as a duo after a one-year hiatus.
Wanted Symphony
This year marks the 10th anniversary for singer-songwriter duo Wanted Symphony. Prior to the current line-up consisting of Ruben and Daniel, the latter came up with the name when he formed the band with four other members, where two of them are classically trained musicians like him.
Koujee
Koujee carries the meaning 'beatbox' in Chinese, so this young man's stage name is pretty illuminative of his musical talent. He not only performs at various events in and out of Malaysia, but also trains young beatboxing protégés.
Resort
This indie pop band comprises lead vocalist Sek Hao, lead guitarist Eugene Kwan and drummer Kyle Emmanuel, who also doubles as the drummer for Lost Spaces. They're fairly new as a trio as they've only debuted last year.
