Interview conducted recently at "The Hunter" press conference at Movie Carnival 2011, IPC Shopping Centre.

Q: Hi Lou Qi, what are the preparations that you have made for "The Hunter"?
Lou Qi: Before we start filming for "The Hunter", I often went to the gym to work out. Besides, I am also improving my swimming skills. There is one part of the film for which we need to cross a long deep river, so we need to train for that first to prevent any unwanted incidents.

Q: How long is the shooting expected to take?
Lou: It's expected to take around one and a half month.

Q: Are there other roles that you will be pursuing after this film this year?
Lou: Yes, after this film, I will go back to China to play another role there in a yet to be titled epic film.

Q: What do you think of the other cast that you will be acting with in "The Hunter"?
Lou: Actually, I am not worried with the cast, as there are a lot of experienced actors such as Sharifah and Carmen Soo in this film. As I get to know them better, I realize that the attitude of the characters from the film is nearly similar with their real personas. Overall, our team is very interesting and everyone's quite friendly. The filming will be an enjoyable adventure for all of us.

Q: What is your future dream role?
Lou: Definitely a superhero! To be honest, I wish to play the kind of character that can transform, such as werewolf or a vampire because they are all mysterious characters. [laughs]

Q: Thank you for your time Lou Qi, all the best to you.
Lou: Thank you so much!

"The Hunter" is expected to be released in Malaysia and Singapore sometime next year.
