18 Aug - Those who fancy a bit of 'sushi' and 'wasabi' in their cinematic diet can look forward to the Japanese Film Festival (JFF) 2006 next month. They get to watch a variety of Japanese films at only RM5 each! Organized by the Japan Foundation annually, JFF is one of the activities aimed at promoting international cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and the other countries. Films that will be screened are: "Inochi", "Heaven's Bookstore", "A Stranger of Mine", "Kamikaze Girls", "Ramblers", "The Stars Converge", "Quill", "Fireflies: River of Light" and "ULTRAMAN: The Next". The movies will be screened at Golden Screen Cinemas Mid Valley and One Utama from 7th to 11th September and Golden Screen Cinemas Gurney Plaza, Penang, from 21th to 24th September. "A Stranger of Mine" will be screened only in Klang Valley, and titles are subject to change.
