16 Aug – Fans of Japanese films rejoice! The annual Japanese Fim Festival returns for the fourth consecutive year at Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) Mid Valley and 1 Utama this coming 23 to 27 August 2007. The festival will also be making its way north to GSC Gurney Plaza in Penang from 31 August to 2 September 2007. GSC teams up once again with the Japanese Foundation of Kuala Lumpur (JFKL), with the co-operation of the Consulate-General of Japan (Penang) and The Japan Club of Kuala Lumpur to bring you this festival. Eight movies will be showcased at participating cinemas at only RM5 per ticket. The movies are "Love And Honor", "Hana", "Linda Linda Linda", "We Shall Overcome Someday", "The Milkwoman", "Yoshino's Barber Shop", "Infection" and "Kamome Diner". All films are in Japanese with English subtitles.
Headlining this year's festival is samurai drama "Love And Honor", which will open at GSC International Screens at the normal prevailing ticket price from 30 August onwards after the limited screening at the Japanese Film Festival 2007. This would be the perfect time to catch it before it goes on general release! Tickets to the Japanese Film Festival in Klang Valley can be purchased via GSC's e-payment facilities as well as its box-office. Bookings can be made via the GSC website two days before the screening date.
