Cicak-Man comics to launch at MC08


Cicak-Man met the fans at Movie Carnival last year. Meet him again this year with his new outfit!
12 Mar – Who ever heard of superheroes who graduate from movie to comic, instead of the other way around? Well, unlike Batman, Superman, Spider-Man and all the other comic superheroes around the world that had carved out successful movie franchises from their comic debuts, Malaysia's very own Cicak-Man is doing things the other way around!

On 28 May 2008, the first day of Movie Carnival, there will be an official launch of the comic series, which is understood to be a four-part release. Also at the event, the public can expect to see the slithery superhero himself! KRU Studios will also have a booth at the Movie Carnival where all their merchandise and movie paraphernalia are available for purchase. Cicak-Man stationery, school bags and water tumblers are only some of the collectible items that will be on offer.

The launch of the comic is the latest development in Cicak-Man's fledgling career in the local superhero realm. Last year, a novel that chronicles his reptilian exploits had already been published.

So make a date with Cicak-Man this Movie Carnival 2008.

"Cicak-Man – Planet Hitam" is scheduled for release at the end of the year. The comic launch and character appearance will go live this 28 May 2008 at Movie Carnival 2008.
