15 Oct - The Shah Rukh Khan Datukship saga culminated with the handing over of a memorandum by SENIMAN President Dato' Mustapha Maarof to the Head Secretary of the Ministry of Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage (KEKKWA) Dr Muzahet Masruri. When asked on the purpose of the memo, Dato' Mustapha said that the intention was never about demanding a withdrawal of the controversial conferment but a gentle appeal that such matters would not happen again as it has became a big issue not only in the entertainment industry but society at large. Dr Muzahet Masruri in the other hand, assured that the memorandum would be discussed in the next ministry's administrative meeting. Another copy of the memorandum was handed over to Head of Director of FINAS (Malaysian Film Development Corporation) Mr. Mohd Mahyidin Mustakim.
