More Days Of Summer

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel

27 Oct – The rom-com hit "(500) Days Of Summer" will extend its screening to TGV Tebrau City, Johor in Malaysia, after a fantastic solo-print run at two locations in the capital – TGV KLCC and Sunway Pyramid. After two weeks in Tebrau City, the boy meets girl story will most likely move up North to Penang, according to distributor Twentieth Century Fox in Malaysia.

Directed by Marc Webb, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, the film has reached a cumulative gross of S$785,000 and has topped Singapore's box office within its second week. It won over all other competition titles including "Julie & Julia", "Pandorum", "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs" and "Imagine That". Playing at 16 screens in Singapore, the film only has a minimal drop off of 20% from the opening weekend box office.

"(500) Days Of Summer" tells the story about Tom, the boy who still believes, even in this cynical modern world, in the notion of a transforming, cosmically destined, lightning-strikes-once kind of love. Summer, the girl, doesn't. But that doesn't stop Tom from going after her, again and again, like a modern Don Quixote. Suddenly, Tom is in love not just with a lovely, witty, intelligent woman, but with the very idea of Summer, the very idea of a love that still has the power to shock the heart and stop the world.

(500) Days of Summer is now showing in selected cinemas!
