10 Dec – After baring his bum in "Legend Of The Fist: The Return Of Chen Zhen", martial arts star Donnie Yen is set to don a comedic role in upcoming Lunar New Year flick, "All's Well, Ends Well 2011" directed and produced by Raymond Wong Pak Ming. Already begun filming last month, the actor has been reported to portray a make-up artist who develops a romantic relationship with model Carina Lau Ka Ling ("Detective Dee") and will not have any fight sequences. According to an interview with Jayne Stars, Raymond Wong Pak Ming said: "Earlier, my mother passed away, so I did not have time to plan the production details for 'All's Well, Ends Well 2011'. I decided to cast Donnie Yen because he has potential in comedies. I also know that he is interested in changing his image and film comedies. In 'Ip Man', he can fight against ten people at the same time. In the new film, he will play a make-up artist who can apply make-up for ten models at the same time." He also added that if Sandra Ng was not pregnant, she would have continued to star in the franchise. Among the actors that have returned are Louis Koo Tin Lok, Chapman To, Lynn Hung Dai Lam and Angelababy, while the new faces include Donnie Yen, Carina Lau, mainland actress Yan Ni, host-turned-actress Xie Nan and Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung. Scheduled to release early February 2011 in Singapore and Malaysia, "All's Well, Ends Well 2011" will be flanked with other Chinese New Year films namely "72 Tenants Of Prosperity" sequel "I Love Hong Kong", "Homecoming", "Mr. And Mrs. Incredible", and "What Women Want".
