Donnie Yen stars in "The Legend Of The Fist: The Return Of Chen Zhen".

28 Sept – "The Legend Of The Fist: The Return Of Chen Zhen" starring Hong Kong actioner Donnie Yen reprising his role as Chen Zhen, a fictional character made famous by Bruce Lee in the 1972 film "Fist Of Fury", tops Malaysia and Singapore box office for the weekend just gone (23-26 Sept).

Meanwhile, the four-day weekend also saw Malaysian musical adventure "Magika" by debutant director Edry Abdul Halim of the KRU brothers grossed RM1.3 million at the box office, according to KRU Studios. Other movies that opened include 3D animated owl pic "Legend Of The Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'hoole" and family thriller "The Hole".

In the U.S., Michael Douglas' reprisal as Gordon Gekko in "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" yields solid returns over its weekend debut, earning US$19 million and beating out "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'hoole" and ensemble comedy "You Again".

In other news, United International Pictures Malaysia recently confirmed that "Scott Pilgrim Vs The World", based upon the bestselling manga series by Bryan Lee O'Malley, has been taken off Malaysian release due to unknown circumstances. However, the film will continue to screen in Singapore and is slated for 28 October 2010.
