2 Mar – Local production house KRU Studios has the sold distribution rights of "Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa" to distributors from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia and 22 other countries in the Middle East through a two day sale at the European Film Market in Berlin, which commenced on 11 February 2010. Directed by Yusry Abdul Halim and carrying the international title of "The Malay Chronicles-Bloodlines", it is the first Malaysian film to have such high distribution at the international market. According to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Epic Pictures, Patrick Ewald, "This huge success is based on the poster and also the eight minute action clip of the movie that exudes the quality production of the stunts, computer-generated imagery (CGI) and also production set that are of world class standard." Epic Pictures is based in Beverly Hills, California and is the sales agent for KRU Studios in the United States.
