14 Feb – Japanese anime movie, "Evangelion 2.0 You Can (not) Advance" will finally be screened in Malaysia on 4 March 2010 after successful lobbying by Malaysian fans. Since November 2009, eager Eva fans have petitioned for the movie to be screened in Malaysia through the social networking website Facebook that has attracted about 260 members. According to movie distributor Cathay Keris Films, the film will only be screened at Cathay Cineplexes e@Curve and TGV Sunway Pyramid. One of the administrators, Solomon Freeman had this to say, "Together, we had made this happened! Thank You!" Another fan, Merol Melo was delighted with the news that the movie had finally arrived in Malaysia while another; Yew Kong Chan hoped that it would be screened in Penang. The first Evangelion movie, "Evangelion 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone" had previously been screened in Malaysia in July 2008 and in Singapore in March 2008. Meanwhile, the sequel "Evangelion 2.0 You Can (not) Advance" had already been shown in Singapore last November 2009.
