Cosplayers for charity

10 June – "Project Harapan, Artists for Japan Earthquake Relief" will conduct a unique charity drive that involves cosplayers, comic artists and more this weekend at the Movie Carnival 2011, IPC Shopping Centre (formerly known as Ikano Power Centre).

The unique charity event will be graced by an assemblage of Japanese cosplayers

The unique charity event which is a joint effort of Says Youth Society and the Malaysian Mandarin Comic Society, will donate its proceeds to help the victims of the Japan earthquake last March, and will feature many items on sale such as a special artbook which consists of contributions from professional and amateur comic artists from across Malaysia.

Apart from that, there will also be goodie bags containing toys and comics as well as mastercopies of artworks drawn live by professional comic artists on sale.

There will also be a chance to take photos with the cosplayers present at the event from 10am to 6pm, on 11 and 12 June, who will grace the event with their extravagant Japanese cosplay inspired costumes.

Those who wish to do their part for charity can attend the "Project Harapan, Artists for Japan Earthquake Relief" this weekend on the 11 and 12 June, at the Movie Carnival 2011, IPC Shopping Centre.
