"Johnny English" no1 in M'sia & S'pore!

27 Sep – Disney's re-release of the 1994 movie "The Lion King" in 3D, still managed to be at the top spot for the second week in a row, raking in an additional US $21.9 million, bringing it's total gross to US $61.4 million thus far in North America. This brings newcomer "Moneyball" starring Brad Pitt to second place, while "Dolphin Tale" is at a third place debut at the North American box office for the weekend just gone (22 – 25 September), according to online tracker, Box Office Mojo.


The 1994 Disney animation "The Lion King" re-release in 3D beats out other new releases last week in US.
In Malaysia, the Rowan Atkinson starring spy-comedy, "Johnny English Reborn", is still at first place, while the latest Shaheizy Sam movie, "Bini-Biniku Gangster", debuts at second place this week, while "Nasi Lemak 2.0" remains strong and stable for the third week in a row, as it remains at third place again this week at the local box office for the weekend just gone.

Singapore also saw "Johnny English Reborn" maintaining its first place, while the Taylor Lautner starring action-thriller, "Abduction", opens up at second place leaving Colin Farrell's "Fright Night" to lack the bite it needs to make it past its third place debut at the local box office for the weekend just gone.

Other new releases and sneak shows last week in Malaysia include "Two Legged Horse", "Warrior", "Mausam" and "Abduction".

In Singapore, other new releases and sneak shows last week include "The Tree Of Life", "African Cats", "I Don't Know How She Does It" and "Di Bawah Lindungan Ka'bah".
