Quentin Tarantino who incorporates his own style of filmmaking in his movies, will now work on a western flick titled "Django Unchained".

4 May – Quentin Tarantino's representative, The William Morris Agency, confirmed that the "Inglourious Basterds" director has completed the script for an upcoming movie entitled "Django Unchained" which will be shot in the classic spaghetti Western style, The Huffington Post reports.

Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz who played Nazi Colonel Hans Landa in Tarantino's last film "Inglourious Basterds", has reportedly been cast a role for "Django Unchained".

While the plot details are hazy, the agency did reveal that, "It's a Western whose lead character is a former slave who is in league with [Christoph] Waltz to save his wife from an evil plantation owner."

Idris Elba who played Heimdall in "Thor", is rumoured to be playing the lead as the slave, however studios are still mum about the casting details.

The classic spaghetti Westerns popularised by director Sergio Leone in the 1960s such as "A Fistful of Dollars" and "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly", are well known for their highly stylised look and violence.

Fortunately with Tarantino's hand in the rare genre, the project does not seem to have derailed the director's initial plans for a third "Kill Bill" instalment which is set 10 years after the last instalment and due out 2013.
