22 Jul – After suffering a terrible setback from the poor performance of his live-action debut feature, "John Carter", director Andrew Stanton has decided to go back to doing what he does best: animated storytelling, by making a sequel to "Finding Nemo 2". According to Deadline, Stanton would be helming the sequel to his 2003 Pixar original, after presenting to Disney a concept that the studio apparently 'loves', but Pixar did not reveal any further details of the project that is in development. "Finding Nemo" grossed US$868 million worldwide and won the Best Animated Feature at the 2003 Academy Awards. It tells the story of an overly protective clownfish Marlin (Albert Brooks) who goes on a life-changing journey to search for his son Nemo (Alexander Gould), when he is abducted by a scuba diver. Along the way, Marlin befriends a regal tang named Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), learns to take risks and to have more faith in his son. "Finding Nemo" was Pixar's fifth feature-length film, and the first movie to be released in cinemas in the northern hemisphere summer. Stanton was also the director Pixar's "Wall-E", another feature that won the Best Animated Feature award in the 2008 Academy Awards.
