11 May – French Art and Film Festival (FAFF) is back for the 11th time to enlighten Malaysians with cultural events of the performing arts and seven French films from 23 May to 23 June, among which includes the critically-acclaimed black and white film, "The Artist". Other FAFF offerings are France's most-watched film, Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache's "Intouchables", Mia Hansen-Løve's Jury Special Prize-winner "Father Of My Children", Tony Gatlif's "Korkoro", Philippe Le Guay's "Service Entrance", Jean-Pierre Améris' "Romantics Anonymous" and 2012 Oscar-nominee "A Cat In Paris". All of the movies will be screened in their original language accompanied by English subtitles only at GSC cinemas in Pavilion KL, 1 Utama, Mid Valley from 24 May to 3 June and Gurney Plaza Penang from 7 to 13 June. Interested moviegoers only need to pay regular ticket prices to watch. For those who wants to experience a little more French-flavoured events, there will be a "French Dreams" classical concert, Celtic Harp performance by Cecile Corbel, "Fete de la Musique", theatre performance "Le petit zinc de KL", book launching of Georges Voisset's "Tales From The Deep Forest", Circus "Perches", French Market "Le Marche De France" and Cognac Tasting "The Art Of Cognac" held at various places throughout the week. The events are organized by Alliance Francaise de Kuala Lumpur and supported by the Embassy of France and Golden Screen Cinemas.
