Ewan McGregor is "Born To Be King"

Ewan McGregor is set to star in "Born To Be King" while Kate Hudson is still in talks to play the female lead.

21 Oct – European Film Award winner Ewan McGregor has been confirmed to be playing the male lead in the upcoming Peter Capaldi's romantic comedy, "Born To Be King", according to Chicago Tribune.

In the film, the Scottish actor plays a film extra who bears an uncanny resemblance to a Hollywood star, which leads to a film starlet falling in love with him in a case of mistaken identity.

Frequent romantic comedy star Kate Hudson is reportedly in negotiations to join the film as the female lead.

"Born To Be King" exemplifies the type of high-quality product Indomina aims to bring to the international marketplace," said Stephanie Denton, Indomina's head of international sales and distribution. Indomina Releasing is responsible for the worldwide sales of Capaldi's piece.

She added, "Peter's screenplay seamlessly weaves the story of the film within the film. It's an exciting, entertaining, and genuinely funny project. Ewan and Kate are the perfect onscreen pair to bring this story to life."

Production of the film is set to begin in January next year at Pinewood Studios in England.

Ewan McGregor's "The Impossible" is currently slated to be released in Malaysia in
