Taylor part of the "Grown Ups"

Taylor Lautner may soon join the cast of (right) "Grown Ups", starring David Spade, Kevin James and Adam Sandler.

8 Apr – As the face of Jacob Black from "The Twilight Saga" franchise, Taylor Lautner is having no trouble obtaining job offers, with an upcoming key role in Adam Sandler's buddy comedy "Grown Ups 2", the sequel to Columbia Pictures' hit "Grown Ups", according to MovieWeb.

The 20-year-old is in negotiations to star along with most of the cast from the first movie which includes Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Maya Rudolph and Salma Hayek.

Another new addition will be Oliver Cooper, one of the stars of the found-footage film "Project X".

No plot details have been released for the sequel as yet, but it is expected that the Dennis Dugan directorial will pick up after the original about a group of childhood friends who reunite as adults following the death of their high school basketball coach with even more shenanigans, possibly against Lautner's character.

Lautner's previous credits aside from "The Twilight Saga" franchise are rom-com "Valentine's Day" and action movie "Abduction". He has also been attached to star in a Gus Van Sant ("Restless") independent film.

While waiting for "Grown Ups 2", fans can catch Lautner next in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2", which is the final instalment in the series in Malaysia and Singapore theaters on 22 November.
