25 Mar – Malaysians will get the chance to watch a total of fifteen French films for the French Art and Film Festival (FAFF) from 25 April 2013 to 12 May 2013, with four films being part of a special tribute to renowned actress Juliette Binoche. Juliette Binoche has been in the French film industry for years. Not only that, she has also appeared in Hollywood's "Chocolat" alongside Johnny Depp, and was nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards. The Juliette Binoche films to be shown at the FAFF screenings are "The Horseman On The Roof" (1995), "Jet Lag" (2001), "Summer Hours" (2008), and "Juliette Binoche: Sketches For A Portrait" (2009).
Aside from the special tribute to the French actress, this year's FAFF also sees a major boost to their film selections, as last year there were only seven films up for screening. The other films that make up the 15 include "What's In The name?" (2012), "The Chef" (2012), "Popular" (2012), "Beloved" (2012), "The Snows Of Kilimanjaro" (2012), "The Minister" (2011), "The Painting" (2011), "A Screaming Man" (2010), "Persecution" (2009), "Eleanor's Secret" (2009) and "The Secret Of The Grain" (2007). FAFF movies will be screened in selected Golden Screen Cinemas International Screens (GSC) locations in Kuala Lumpur, which are GSC Pavilion, GSC Mid Valley and GSC 1 Utama. The festival will then move on to Penang, GSC Gurney Plaza, from 16 to 26 May 2013.
