23 Jun – 28-year-old actor and film director Pierre Andre will wed Siti Nurhidayah Hashim in a marriage ceremony that will be held today at Masjid Al-Ikhlas, Selayang at about 1pm. Pierre, born Mohd Pierre Andre Nazarul Andre, expressed his gratitude that his dream of becoming a husband will finally come true. "Being a husband is a dream for me and I look forward to the moments we [Pierre and Siti] will share in the future. But I get nervous every night memorizing my wedding vows before bed," he said at a press conference for his TV drama "Dewi Lasak" last Tuesday. However, the "1 Lawan Satu" director added that only immediate family members are invited to the reception for both parties as it is a modest affair. Pierre, who has known his future wife for two years, said that Siti is his ideal wife. "When I first met her, I thought I didn't have a chance with her because she was a model, and because we both lived such different lives. But when I got to know her family, I also know that she's an educated woman from a family of mostly teachers. She is also not fussy and very down-to-earth," he said. When he was asked whether he would invite his ex-girlfriend, actress Yana Samsudin to the wedding, Pierre responded with, "God willing, she will be able to come, but I leave it to the family when it comes to wedding invitations. I have to also take consideration that inviting her might offend my wife."
