22 May – American actor, comedian and humanitarian Chris Tucker is best known as the fast-talking Detective James Carter in the "Rush Hour" film series alongside action star Jackie Chan, and he will be coming to Malaysia for his comedy tour "Chris Tucker – The Return Tour 2013". Tucker's stand-up comedy tour has received rave reviews all over the world, and his stops include Singapore as well as Malaysia this June. The "Rush Hour" trilogy smashed box office records, earning USD 850mil worldwide, but it would be a while before fans and movie viewers saw him again after "Rush Hour 3". The actor recently returned to co-star alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro in the Oscar-nominated film "Silver Linings Playbook" after his five-year hiatus from the big screen.
"People might not know this but I have been busy working," said Tucker. "I went back to stand-up about six years ago and have been touring for the last few years in the US. Now, we are taking it international." "Chris Tucker - The Return Tour 2013" will take the stage at the KL Convention Centre on 24 June at 9pm.
