Johnny Depp blind in one eye

Johnny Depp is always seen at events wearing his prescription tinted glasses.

21 Jun – 50-year-old Johnny Deep is seen many a times wearing his tinted glasses, but the real reason for the star's choice of accessory is because he is blind in his left eye.

"The Lone Ranger" star confessed that his eyes have been problematic since birth due to a condition which makes it impossible to correct, and thus relies heavily on prescription glasses.

"Everything is just very, very blurry. I've never had proper vision," Depp commented in his recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

Depp as Edward Scissorhands, one of the many unique characters he plays which didn't allow for glasses.

Depp is known to play many eccentric characters, however he is only able to see a few inches from his face without his glasses. Many of his film roles are challenging as most of the characters he plays do not wear glasses or sunglasses.

Depp also opened up about his breakup with long-time girlfriend and mother of his two children, Vanessa Paradis.

He explained "The last couple years have been a bit bumpy. At times, certainly unpleasant, but that's the nature of breakups, I guess, especially when there are kiddies involved."

"Relationships are very difficult. Especially in the racket that I'm in, because you're constantly away or they're away and so it's hard. It wasn't easy on her. It wasn't easy on me. It wasn't easy on the kids. So, yeah. The trajectory of that relationship - you play it out until it goes, one thing leads to another"

He continued, "So for whatever reason that ceases, it doesn't stop the fact that you care for that person, and they're the mother of your kids, and you'll always know each other, and you're always going to be in each other's lives because of those kids. You might as well make the best of it."

"The Lone Ranger" hits cinemas this 4 of July where Depp will be starring alongside Armie Hammer.
