20 Nov – Ellie Suriaty's first feature film "Penanggal" will be able to view in cinemas very soon, and she had nothing but praise for all her actors in the film. "I expected a high performance level from them and they gave it their all. I give my thanks to all the actors," said Ellie. But when actress Fasha Sandha was asked what her biggest challenge was, she replied, "I tried not to go over it too much, but I know that it took me a lot of takes to get my scenes right so I apologise to Ellie."
The actress also talks about how she noticed that some of her scenes were cut from the film, but director Ellie explained, "Well, there were not a lot of the scenes cut anyway. When we cut the movie, we try to go for the content, and not the capabilities of the actors." Fasha Sandha had appeared and starred in local films like "Pontianak", "4 Madu", "Cicakman" and "Evolusi KL Drift" and she is expected to star in the third instalment of the "Cicakman" movie franchise. "Penanggal" will be released on 28 November 2013.
